Implementing the Global Taxonomy Initiative

Plan of Action and Resource Kit for
Taxonomic Capacity Building

Contribute to the GTI

This Resource Kit has been developed to promote implementation of the GTI. As such, it is not an end point, but a beginning. It is our fervent hope that other people and organizations will contribute to the GTI by joining the many others who have already demonstrated their dedication and commitment with their contributions to 3GTW and this publication.

The 3GTW Plan of Action already has the commitment of a number of organisations. Others that are
interested in the GTI but who are not yet identified as partners in implementing the 3GTW Plan of Action are encouraged to contact the Secretariat of BioNET-INTERNATIONAL <bionet@bionet-intl.org> and the Programme Officer, Global Taxonomy Initiative, at the Secretariat of the CBD <secretariat@biodiv.org>.

By moving forward together, committed to a widely agreed and far-reaching plan, we stand to make the most rapid and effective progress in underpinning our sustainable futures by overcoming the Taxonomic Impediment.
