Partnership is central to BioNET's philosophy and mode of operation. Our successes depend on effective local and international collaboration between taxonomists, their institutions, technology developers and the users of taxonomy in conservation, agriculture, trade and other areas. Partnerships are developed via global, regional and national workshops as well as publications, training and tool development.

Regionally and nationally, BioNET's Locally Owned and Operated Partnerships (LOOPs) work with all who are committed to meeting locally defined taxonomic needs.

Integration of taxonomy's future with wider biodiversity agendas is promoted via membership of unions and other initiatives.

Activities are developed and implemented with international technical and programme partners from various sectors.

1. LOOP coordinating institutes
2. Memberships of unions, initiatives, etc
3. Technical and programme partners
